Six ways to bring KAAFAY to life — from the traditional South Indian tumbler to a cold brew that lasts the week.

South Indian Filter Coffee

The classic davara-tumbler ritual. Strong decoction, thick milk, just enough sugar.

  1. 01Add 4 tbsp of coarsely ground KAAFAY Estate Blend No. 7 to the upper chamber of a South Indian filter.
  2. 02Pour 200ml of just-boiled water over the grounds. Cover and let it drip for 10–15 minutes.
  3. 03Heat 250ml of full-fat milk until almost boiling. Sweeten to taste.
  4. 04Pour half the decoction into each tumbler. Top with hot milk. Froth between tumbler and davara until creamy.

Classic Espresso

A 25-second pour with a thick, hazelnut-coloured crema.

  1. 01Dose 18g of finely ground KAAFAY Espresso Noir into your portafilter.
  2. 02Distribute evenly and tamp with 15kg of even pressure.
  3. 03Lock in and pull a 36g shot in 25–30 seconds.
  4. 04Serve immediately in a warmed demitasse.

Cold Brew Concentrate

Smooth, sweet and shockingly low in bitterness. Keeps for two weeks.

  1. 01Combine 150g of coarsely ground Coorg Gold Arabica with 1 litre of cold filtered water in a jar.
  2. 02Stir gently and refrigerate for 12–16 hours.
  3. 03Strain through a paper filter into a clean bottle.
  4. 04Serve over ice, diluted 1:1 with cold water or milk.

Cardamom Latte

Spiced, silky, and perfect for an overcast afternoon.

  1. 01Pull a double shot of KAAFAY Cardamom & Cocoa.
  2. 02Steam 200ml of milk with a pinch of crushed green cardamom until silky.
  3. 03Pour the steamed milk over the shot, finishing with the foam.
  4. 04Dust with a whisper of cocoa.

Monsoon Mocha

Big, chocolatey, comforting. Best on a rainy evening.

  1. 01Brew 60ml of strong Monsoon Robusta decoction in a moka pot.
  2. 02Warm 300ml milk with 2 tbsp dark cocoa and 1 tbsp brown sugar until smooth.
  3. 03Divide the coffee between two mugs. Top with the cocoa milk.
  4. 04Finish with a curl of dark chocolate shavings.

Vietnamese-Style Iced Coffee

Robusta and sweetened condensed milk — a match designed by the universe.

  1. 01Brew 80ml of strong KAAFAY Monsoon Robusta using a phin filter or moka pot.
  2. 02Add 2 tbsp of sweetened condensed milk to a tall glass.
  3. 03Pour the hot coffee over and stir until fully combined.
  4. 04Top with crushed ice and stir again before sipping.
